I have minature roses and I want to keep them in my home, how can I do that without killing them?

My Miniature roses were dying but I realized they needed a bigger pot, and since have transplanted them into a bigger pot. I took to long and the flower buds fell off and so did some of the leaves. They seem to be doing much better now but not as well as I would like. Any suggestions?

Roses of all kinds need sun to do well. 6 to 8 hours a day is best. They will survive on less but they do not like being kept indoors.
